Alex Zaffron

Alex Zaffron served on the Carrboro Board of Aldermen for twelve years, from December 1995 to December 2007, and was the town's mayor pro tem from 2001 to 2003. He also chaired the Orange County Democratic Party. In 1999 he was one of three aldermen who voted to rename the board the Board of Councillors, and in 2005 he ran for mayor, losing to Mark Chilton.
