Adelaide Walters

Adelaide Walters served on the Chapel Hill Board of Aldermen from 1957 to 1965, after a term as president of the Chapel Hill League of Women Voters. She chaired the board of the Community Church of Chapel Hill and, from 1966 to 1973, the housing committee of the Inter-Church Council for Social Service.

  2. Roland Giduz and Adelaide Walters are elected to the Chapel Hill Board of Aldermen In a heavy turnout that also re-elected Mayor Oliver K. Cornwell and approved a $500,000 bond issue, voters re-elected aldermen Hubert Robinson and Paul Wager and chose two new members, Adelaide Walters and Roland Giduz.
