Mel Rashkis

Mel Rashkis moved to Chapel Hill in the early 1960s, and his firm, Mel Rashkis and Associates, was for many years the largest real estate firm in town. He was president of the Board of Realtors and of the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce, chaired the Village Companies Community Foundation, and shares with his wife Zora the name of the Meadowmont elementary school.
