Cameron Morrison

Cameron Morrison was an influential trustee of the university and, as governor in the early 1920s, a strong supporter of its expansion program; the university named Morrison Residence Hall, completed in 1965, for him. He began his political career supporting Charles B. Aycock and the white supremacy campaign of 1898.

Few proposes a joint medical school with UNC After the trustees' site committee split on December 16, Few met the committee at the governor's mansion and offered a four-year school with two years at Chapel Hill and two in Durham near Watts Hospital, backed by $1 million from each side and a Trinity endowment.
