Roy Williams

Roy Williams, a 1972 UNC graduate, spent ten seasons in Chapel Hill as an assistant to Dean Smith and coached Kansas from 1988 to 2003 before returning as UNC's head men's basketball coach in 2003. His Tar Heel teams won NCAA championships in 2005, 2009 and 2017, and he retired on April 1, 2021.
