Michael Hooker
Hooker was chief administrative officer of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from July 1, 1995 until his death on June 29, 1999. He started online courses and the Carolina Computing Initiative, set up a bus tour of the state for new faculty, and visited all 100 counties.
