Cornelia Spencer Love (1892-1981), whose grandmother was Cornelia Phillips Spencer, interviewed by Lee Kessler on January 26, 1975 for the Southern Oral History Program. Love, a librarian at UNC, recalls her family, including James Spencer Love (1896-1962), her childhood and youth in Chapel Hill, university life in earlier decades, and her dealings with the town's Black community.
