Braxton Bynum Lloyd, a Chapel Hill native, practised medicine in the Chapel Hill community from 1912 until he died at his Carrboro home in 1947. He was mayor of Carrboro in 1920 and 1921 and a longtime director of the Bank of Chapel Hill.
