Sophia (Sophie) Livas

Sophie Livas ran the Carolina Coffee Shop in Chapel Hill after the death of her husband, George Livas, in 1956, and sold it to Donald Belton, who became the restaurant's owner on February 1, 1957.

Sophia Livas, widow of George Livas, who owned the Carolina Coffee Shop on Franklin Street from the 1940s until 1956, recalls her early life in Greece and her years in Chapel Hill.
