Barbara Bynum Henderson

Barbara Bynum Henderson lived in Chapel Hill, where her husband Archibald Henderson taught at the university. In 1913 she organized the Equal Suffrage League of North Carolina and was elected its president, winning a second term in 1915, and she took the suffrage fight to the General Assembly. Her poem "The March of Women" (1915) served the cause.
