The photographs depict students of the University of North Carolina and members of the Chi Phi fraternity, with individual sitters named as Edmund Jones, Alonzo Phillips and Thomas Henderson Pritchard. The setting is Chapel Hill.

Moore presiding, resolved that the university should be revived as soon as practicable.
