William Picard Jacocks

William Picard Jacocks, a 1904 graduate of the University of North Carolina, settled in Chapel Hill after retiring from the Rockefeller Foundation's public health work and lived at the Carolina Inn. The university gave him an honorary doctor of laws degree in 1954, and he gave most of his books and collections to it.
