Kathleen DuVal

Kathleen DuVal joined the UNC history faculty in 2003 and is the Carl W. Ernst Distinguished Professor of History, teaching courses that include Native North America, U.S. History to 1865 and the American Revolution. Her book Native Nations: A Millennium in North America won the 2025 Pulitzer Prize.
