Robert Worth Bingham

Robert Worth Bingham, son of the Bingham School headmaster Robert Bingham, studied at the University of North Carolina from 1888 to 1891, winning its Representative Medal in 1890, and returned in 1896 to study law. In 1899 he endowed the university's Robert Worth Bingham prize in debate. He was later a Louisville newspaper publisher and U.S. ambassador.
