  2. Publication, speech or performance · Cabe lands on the north side of the Eno River William Cabe and thirty neighbors on the Eno post a warning against hunters

    William Cabe published a broadside, signed by his brother John and 28 neighbors, warning that people hunting with dogs and guns on their land had driven off their cattle and hogs and would be prosecuted.

  4. Life event · Cabe family cemetery, south of the Cabe-Pratt-Harris House, near the Eno River Planter William Cabe dies and is buried in the family graveyard on the Eno

    William Cabe, who held 1,389 acres of corn and wheat land on the Eno, died without a will. His marked stone is one of two legible among twelve graves in the Cabe family cemetery south of the house.

  5. Slavery and freedom · Cabe-Pratt-Harris House (Riverbend Farm), off Pleasant Green Road near the Eno River William Cabe's estate offers his residence and 14 or 15 enslaved people for sale

    After a sale of Cabe's household goods, stock and crops set for October 22, 1828, a December notice in the Hillsborough Recorder offered his late residence together with 14 or 15 enslaved people.
