30 Friends. $11,189 raised. Two projects supported. Here’s what members, volunteers, donors, and neighbors made possible in 2022.
01 · The People
The Friends Behind It
30 members stood behind the library in 2022, as recorded in that year's minutes. Membership is the steady base every book sale and grant is built on.
02 · What They Raised
Volunteers Made It Possible
The semiannual sales and the ongoing shelf are run entirely by volunteers. Reserves ended the year at $33,190 — the cushion that lets the Friends give even in lean years.

What the Friends Funded in 2022

Summer Reading in 2022
Oceans of Possibilities
Staff turned the building into a reef, with a paper-chain octopus over youth services and kelp running the length of the circulation desk. Adults read to give: every thirty minutes logged added another book to the library’s donation drive.
The Library in 2022
The Friends help pay for part of what happens here. These are the library’s own filed figures for how much it was used, set against the year before.
These increases are measured against 2021, the most restricted year on record, so they show the library reopening rather than ordinary year-to-year growth.
