30 members stood behind the library in 2022, as recorded in that year's minutes. Membership is the steady base every book sale and grant is built on.

The semiannual sales and the ongoing shelf are run entirely by volunteers. Reserves ended the year at $33,190 — the cushion that lets the Friends give even in lean years.

Staff turned the building into a reef, with a paper-chain octopus over youth services and kelp running the length of the circulation desk. Adults read to give: every thirty minutes logged added another book to the library’s donation drive.
