27 friends joined in 2020. The minutes from that year never recorded a total member count, so this report counts only the newcomers. Membership is the steady base every book sale and grant is built on.

The semiannual sales and the ongoing shelf are run entirely by volunteers. Reserves ended the year at $42,943 — the cushion that lets the Friends give even in lean years.

The building closed, and Summer Learning went online: a new video challenge every Friday, a printed game board for younger children, Book Bingo for adults. Registration fell to 94 under the all-online format, while 1,692 attended the 54 online programs.
