The Friends Behind It
27 friends joined in 2020. The minutes from that year never recorded a total member count, so this report counts only the newcomers. Membership is the steady base every book sale and grant is built on.

Volunteers Made It Possible
The semiannual sales and the ongoing shelf are run entirely by volunteers. Reserves ended the year at $42,943 — the cushion that lets the Friends give even in lean years.

What the Friends Funded in 2020
The projects below came to $8,941, of which $8,941 was granted straight to the library; the rest supported programs, appreciation, and community projects. More than $113,900 granted to the library since 2017.

Summer Reading in 2020
Grow With Us!
The building closed, and Summer Learning went online: a new video challenge every Friday, a printed game board for younger children, Book Bingo for adults. Registration fell to 94 under the all-online format, while 1,692 attended the 54 online programs.
The Library in 2020
The Friends help pay for part of what happens here. These are the library’s own filed figures for how much it was used, set against the year before.
The library building closed partway through 2020 and services moved online and to curbside pickup, so this is a part-year of building access rather than a normal one.
