Jeff MacNelly

Jeff MacNelly drew sports cartoons for the Daily Tar Heel as a UNC student from 1965, then editorial cartoons for the Chapel Hill Weekly under editor Jim Shumaker, where he got the idea for his comic strip Shoe. He later won three Pulitzer Prizes and became the Chicago Tribune's editorial cartoonist.
