  2. Award or honor · Philadelphia David Zucchino wins the Pulitzer Prize for Feature Writing

    David Zucchino, a 1973 UNC graduate, won the Pulitzer Prize for Feature Writing for "Being Black in South Africa," his coverage of apartheid for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

  3. Publication, speech or performance · Carroll Hall, Chapel Hill David Zucchino discusses Wilmington's Lie in UNC's Nelson Benton Lecture

    David Zucchino, a UNC journalism alumnus and former lecturer at the school, spoke about his book Wilmington's Lie, on the 1898 Wilmington coup, in the Carroll Hall auditorium.

  4. Award or honor David Zucchino wins the Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction

    UNC alumnus David Zucchino won the Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction for Wilmington's Lie: The Murderous Coup of 1898 and the Rise of White Supremacy. It was his second Pulitzer.

  5. Appointment, election or service · Chapel Hill David Zucchino teaches International Reporting at UNC as an adjunct instructor

    Two-time Pulitzer winner David Zucchino returned to UNC as an adjunct instructor to teach a course in international reporting, run as a working newsroom.
