  2. Property or economic transaction · Patterson Brothers drugstore, later Pritchard's, East Franklin Street, Chapel Hill James M. Pritchard and Thomas P. Lloyd buy the bankrupt Patterson Brothers drugstore

    The Patterson Brothers drugstore failed in 1930, and Pritchard and Lloyd bought it from Wallace Durham Patterson. The maps then list it as the Pritchard and Lloyd Rexall store.

  3. Property or economic transaction · Pritchard's Drugstore, East Franklin Street, Chapel Hill James M. Pritchard buys out Thomas Lloyd and becomes sole owner of the drugstore

    Pritchard took sole charge of the former Patterson Brothers store, now Pritchard's Drugstore. Lloyd opened his own Carolina Pharmacy in 1940.

    Lloyd, once James Pritchard's partner, opened his own drugstore in the space Ledbetter-Pickard Stationery left when it moved a door east.
