The Palmer House at 173 West Margaret Lane, Hillsborough, a wooden dwelling, in Historic American Buildings Survey documentation compiled after 1933: four photographs, eleven measured drawings, seven data pages and a caption page. North Carolina State University contributed, and names connected with the house include Francis Nash, James Patterson, Peter Mallett, William Watters and James M. Palmer.
Report and papers of the Committee of Propositions and Grievances at the April and May 1782 session of the General Assembly in Hillsborough. Petitions come from the District of Salisbury, Isaac Newton, William Lansdell and Rutherford County officers on behalf of George Russell's wife. Papers laid before the North Carolina General Assembly for perusal in August and September 1780, 56 images. They include Governor Abner Nash's messages to members, one of them on clothing for the regular troops, resolutions of the Virginia Assembly, letters from Richard and James Ellis and from James Iredell, and John Reddy's petition. George Washington and the Board of War also appear.
