Charles Wilson Harris, 1771 to 1804, is the figure behind papers dated 1765 to 1924. The papers concern his eighteenth century faculty service at Chapel Hill and later legal career, along with Charles and Robert Wilson Harris, Presbyterians and Poplar Tent Church in Cabarrus County, and the history of Concord and Chapel Hill. Harris sets up a small store of medicine for students and neighbours Writing from the university on June 1, 1795, Harris told his uncle, a physician, that with no doctor nearer than Hillsborough he would keep a small stock of medicine for students and the neighbourhood, at cost.
