Orange County Indexed
Will or bequest, 25 June 1829
John Umstead's will directed that Dicey and her two children be freed.
- Date
- 25 June 1829
- Record
- Will or bequest
- Citation
- Orange County Will Book E, p. 182
- From
- John Umstead
- People whose names were not recorded
- Her two children
- Note
- The abstract dates the will 25 June 1829 and its probate May 1829, which cannot both be right. A May 1829 deed conveyed fourteen people from John Umstead's estate, among them a Dicey (record d1086); a shared first name does not show it was the same woman.
