  2. Construction or physical change · Hill Farm, 4508 St. Mary's Road, east of Hillsborough The oldest frame section of the Hill Farm house is built on St. Mary's Road

    The earliest part of the Hill Farm house, a frame section on a stone foundation with a double-shouldered chimney nearly eight feet wide, may go back to the 1780s, making it one of the few eighteenth-century buildings along the road.

  4. Construction or physical change · St. Mary's Road, east of Hillsborough A two-story addition turns the Hill Farm house to face a new way

    In 1922 a big two-story frame wing was added to the Hill Farm house east of Hillsborough on St. Mary's Road, changing the direction the house faced. The older part, a rear ell from the late eighteenth century, became a back wing.
