  2. Chapel Hill Ernest Graves plays fullback on the undefeated 1898 Carolina football team

    Graves, a Chapel Hill native, played fullback for the university and was a member of its undefeated, untied team of 1898. He scored 131 points in his Carolina football career.

  4. Chapel Hill Ernest Graves captains the Carolina baseball team

    Graves, the team's catcher, captained the university baseball team in 1900, the year he graduated.

  5. Life event · Chapel Hill Ralph H. Graves is buried in Chapel Hill

    Ralph H. Graves, a New York editor and newspaper syndicate agent born in Chapel Hill, died at his home in Garden City, Long Island, on December 1, 1939. After a funeral there, a burial service was held at the Chapel Hill cemetery on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 5.
