FOCPL is thankful for YOU! Your membership dues, donations, and help at book sales enable the Friends to support the library’s important mission.
Book Trail Update
It’s installed! A BIG THANKS to handyman Rodney Beaver for assembling and installing the book trail stations at Efland-Cheeks Park.
The children coming out of the adjacent elementary school were delighted to find the book trail as they played in the park for recess or left school at the end of the day. Many stopped to read the pages. Luckily, I don’t think any missed their bus. : )
Planning for a formal dedication of the book trail is in the works. We’ll share details once the dedication is scheduled.
November Meeting
Our November board meeting will be held at 7:00 on Thursday, November 21st in the library’s meeting room. All Friends members are welcome to attend. The meeting agenda appears below.

At the December meeting, we will be voting for the 2025 board. Current candidates include:

We would love to welcome some new faces to the table. Board service is not time consuming. We meet only once a month and the meetings are usually less than an hour. Board members are asked to work a shift at the twice-yearly book sales if their schedule permits.
