Dear Friends,
Happy November!
The next Friends board meeting will be Thursday, November 20 at 7:00 in the meeting room at the main library in Hillsborough. All members are welcome. The agenda appears at the end of this newsletter below.
October Meeting Highlights
In October, the board voted to fund a new water and ice dispenser for the Hillsborough library. We began a discussion of the book sale bag day policy and possible changes to standardize bag sizes. We also discussed the town of Hillsborough’s sign regulations and the need for a new smaller banner. We voted to fund year-end staff appreciation gifts and book donations for the prisoner book initiative. Your membership dues and contributions made these purchases possible. Thank you!
Book Walk Dedication
The book walk dedication was a lot of fun! I was honored to get to cut the ribbon. If you haven’t yet enjoyed the book trail, head to Efland-Cheeks park and take a look! It’s a fun way to get exercise with the little ones in your life while entertaining them with a cute story and illustrations.

Of course, fellow board member Melissa Ramirez and I couldn’t resist having some fun with the oversized scissors.

As always, thank you for being a Friend!
Sincerely,
Diane Kelly President
