Correspondence and personal narratives of Charles J. Watson, who died in 1873, covering 1861 to 1873 with one item from 1900: twenty seven items in the Southern Historical Collection at UNC, collection 3955. The material follows a soldier of the 27th North Carolina Infantry, imprisonment at Point Lookout in Maryland, and later migration to Robertson County, Texas.
