Thirty-five receipts and a postcard of William H. Tapp (1814 to 1892) of Hillsborough, from 1846 on, with a few early receipts made out to Josiah Thompson. Tapp married Mary Thompson in 1842. The receipts record payments for slaughtering, shoemaking, blacksmith work and a walnut coffin and case, and touch on the estate of his father, Richard R. Tapp, and the Orange County Superior Court.
