History file of the state's tuberculosis hospitals, 1907 to 1980, from the Tuberculosis Control Branch. It has minutes of the North Carolina Sanatorium System board (1923 to 1972) and its successor, the Specialty Hospitals System (1972 to 1980), with 1931 appropriations hearings and financial reports. McCain, Black Mountain, Wilson and Gravely Hospital in Chapel Hill are among the institutions.
