Lewis (1916-2004) of the Institute of Government at UNC, spanning 1820 to 1997 in roughly 36,000 items and 61 linear feet, in the Southern Historical Collection at UNC, collection 4456. Diaries and photographs are among the material. Topics include family members named Lewis and Wilkins, the Bank of Northampton, the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina and the Chapel of the Cross in Chapel Hill, with Albert Coates and Frank Porter Graham also named.
