Urban T. Holmes Jr. wrote this pageant for the hundredth anniversary of the Chapel of the Cross, the Episcopal parish beside the university campus in Chapel Hill, founded in 1842. Historical drama about Chapel Hill's past, staged as a parish pageant, it was printed by the church in 1942, 48 pages with an illustration. Holmes, a professor at the university, framed the town's story around the crossroads site of the title.
