Papers,

Wirt, William · 1810

Papers of William Wirt, author, lawyer and U.S. attorney general, and of his wife Elizabeth Washington Gamble Wirt, 34 items from 1810. Letters deal with his law practice, and one tells an anecdote about Wirt, a General Parker and Henry Clay. A fragment of an 1833 letter addressed by Wirt to a UNC law student gives the Chapel Hill connection.
