Fragmentary letter of 3 March 1840 from John Witherspoon at Hillsborough to the theologian James Henley Thornwell. Witherspoon worries over the spread of Arminianism and antinomianism, urges Thornwell to answer them in print and takes up his views on church boards. Thomas Goulding is also named.
