Bernard J. Flatow's memoir of assembling his collection of Latin American cronistas, the early chroniclers of the Spanish conquest, issued in Chapel Hill in 1987. It was issued together with William D. Ilgen's account of the Flatow collection, Michael R. McVaugh on Elisha Mitchell's books and the University of North Carolina Library, Fred Chappell's 'Portrait of the reader reading' and Michael McFee's 'The new new new literary south'.
