Music and field material gathered by the North Carolina Folklife Institute from the 1970s to the 1990s, 37.5 linear feet in the Southern Folklife Collection at UNC, collection 20210. Fiddle tunes, old-time music, bluegrass, blues and folk dance music of North Carolina are represented, along with Cherokee songs and Etta Baker. The Chapel Hill tie is the 1989 Conference on the Collecting and Collections of Southern Traditional Music, held there.
