Reports of the General Assembly's Committee of Claims from the 1788 session, taken up claim by claim from 5 December, in 169 images. Early claims came from John Cains, Bird Ferrel, John Nichols, Thomas Johnston and Benjamin Ward. The accounts touch on militia service, deserters, prisoners, executions, the printer Abraham Hodge, sheriffs, surveying, and business in Hillsborough and Orange County.
