Orange County marriages

Every marriage bond and license in the Orange County marriage books, 1780 to 1912: 14,502 marriages, each with where to find the original, what other transcriptions read differently, and the newspaper notice where we found one.

How the search works
  • Every word must appear in the groom’s or the bride’s name, as the marriage book or the newspaper spells it. The search matches the start of a name (Faucet finds Faucette) and small spelling differences.
  • The year is the year of the bond or license, or of the wedding for a newspaper notice.
  • A bond records an intention to marry, not the wedding itself. Where the books or a notice give the wedding, the record says so.
