  2. Orange County Affordable Housing Task Force creates the Orange Community Housing Corporation

    The county's Affordable Housing Task Force created the Orange Community Housing Corporation, the organization that later became the Community Home Trust.

  3. The land trust sells its first home, in Carrboro

    Property or economic transaction · Carrboro

    The first land trust home was sold in June 2000 in Carrboro. By then the organization had helped create nearly 100 affordable housing opportunities in Chapel Hill.

  4. Community Home Trust marks 30 years with 332 permanently affordable homes

    At its 30th anniversary the Home Trust held 332 permanently affordable homes in Chapel Hill and Carrboro, up from about 100 in 2005.
