The Friends of the Orange County Public Library held our first “Friendraiser” on the evening of August 5. David Terry graciously opened his beautiful historic house and garden for the event, and attendees enjoyed drinks, watermelon, David’s homemade macaroons, and socializing under the trees. Mayor Tom Stevens and Commissioner Kathleen Ferguson attended, along with Library staff and many other members of the community. Kids and adults alike took advantage of the face painter and the Kona Ice truck on site. Through the event, the Friends gained eight new members, several renewals, and some generous donations. The Board would like to thank our gracious host, our wonderful volunteers, and all of the attendees for making this such a memorable event!
