To whet your appetite for the readings and book fair, we’ll be offering interviews with some of our guests across the next few days. Today, let’s meet Tamara Aycock.
FOCPL: What should readers know before they pick up one of your books?
My book talks about the issues in many lives. It’s about over coming sexual abuse, physical abuse, absent Dad, homeless, financial problems, drugs and loosing hope. The main theme of by book is my life and seeing Jesus through everything that I have been through.
FOCPL: Why are you a writer? What drew you into a writing life?
My first book The Power of Walking in Forgiveness; my life story takes the reader through my life from around the age of 7 until now. I wanted to get my story out to the public in hopes that it would help people know they are not alone. I am currently writing my second book God talk to me like I am a two year old.
FOCPL: Do you have a favorite among your own works? Which is it and why?
I only have one book at this time however I know it will always be my favorite book I will write. When writing about your life it does some heart pulls when you are going back through the things that you have over come.
FOCPL: What do you dream about when it comes to your writing life?
My hearts desire is to see my book help over people who may be on the same road that I have been on. To give hope to the ones who need it. They can make it through it.
