Friends of the Orange County Public Library Board of Directors Meeting, December 1, 2012
Present: Mark Smith, Sandy Gerstner, Janet Flowers, Chris Holaday, Robin Bedingfield Brown, Erin Hils Shepherd, Lori Graham, Bill Barrows, Laura Simmons, Marcia Cameron and Andrea Tullos
Co-Chair, Janet Flowers, called the meeting to order at 3:45 p.m.
Introductions The Board introduced themselves and their current roles with the Friends of the Library.
Election of Officers Janet shared a slate of officers who have nominated themselves or have been nominated and agree to serve. President Janet Flowers Vice President Erin Hills Shepherd Secretary Robin Bedingfield Brown Treasurer Sandy Gerstner Treasurer – Elect Mark Smith
President: Motion to elect slated Janet Flowers by Robin 2nd by Chris – unanimous vote Vice President: Motion to elect slated Erin Hills Shepherd by Robin, 2nd by Laura - unanimous vote Secretary: Motion to elect slated Robin Bedingfield Brown by Sandy, 2nd by Chris - unanimous vote Treasurer: Motion to elect slated Sandy Gerstner by Erin, 2nd by Robin- unanimous vote Treasurer –Elect: Motion to elect slated Mark Smith by Bill, 2nd by Chris - unanimous vote
All officers were elected unanimously.
Monthly meeting schedule Janet has polled the new Board on the set meeting schedule for 2013. The group is able to meet the 2nd Monda of each month at 6pm.
January meeting The agenda for the January meeting will include the assignment of committee chairs for all Board members and an orientation for new members.
