1. Election of officers and transfer of responsibilities
- President: Shannon, approved unanimously
- Vice President: James, approved unanimously
- Secretary: Samantha, approved unanimously
- Treasurer: Stacie (with committee of Michael and Gail), approved unanimously
- Membership Chair: Grace, approved unanimously
2. Orange County Chamber of Commerce membership
- $200/year
- unanimous decision not to renew at this time and to revisit in the future
3. Calendar for upcoming year
- Local Author Book Fair: Saturday September 28, with reading on Friday night (last Friday); defining “local”
- summer learning theme: A Universe of stories (space) (tie in to classics film group: movies about going to the moon on last Fridays, with pop up sale). June 28 and July 26.
- Ghost Stories: Burwell, October 25
- Dowells, graphic novelists: one day Hillsborough comic-con. Jeremy Whitley. May 25?
- June 1st is summer learning kickoff
- (Thanksgiving is late this year: 28 and 29)
- December 7 annual meeting: 1st Saturday
4. Volunteers to manage book donations/acknowledgment of Lou and Nancy

- gift for Lou and Nancy? $100 gift certificate at a nice restaurant near their new home. Shannon will take care of arrangments.
5. Looking ahead to spring book sale
- idea: pop sale book sale at film club
- sale: April 25-28 next scheduled regular sale
- proposed additional sale sooner (March 2 and 3; 20-21 July)
6. Plan for updating membership database/send out tax letters
7. Library update
- temperature issues in main meeting room:
- limited fluctuation to 2 degrees
- thermostat will be moved to another part of the room
- logging changes
- budget season is starting: static is expected
- request submitted for Building a Community Engagement Division $7951
- EOY $48K our balance
- unanimously approved
Membership thoughts: donations only, content available to members (videos of presentations, etc.), to influence what programs are offered. Toot our horn more about what our accomplishments. Revisit the big annual meeting as event. Revisit the friend-raiser garden party.
When to meet: every other month? 2nd Thursday: March 14th the next one.
