Annual Meeting

Library Update
1. Nancy Crews will be our official liaison now

2. Thanks for the support on the ALA Race & Equity Conference
3. Main branch has a full staff now
  1. 15 full time, 15 part time employees at this branch
  2. southern branch: mcdougal and century center 3 full time, 8 part time
4. Andrea’s retirement at Hot Tin Roof November 20, 5:00-7:00
Membership Update (Grace)
1. Online payments recently added via paypal link
2. 83 members currently
3. paper mailing for lapsed members to invite them to re-up (unanimous approval)
Finance Update
1. we’ve earned about 10K from book sales, 2K from memberships
2. total revenue for the year is about 17K
3. funded 19,789 in library projects
  1. construction of community engagement wall
  2. staff training
  3. summer learning program
4. funded our own events $480
  1. mostly volunteer run
  2. some snacks and ads
5. office supplies, mailing supplies, etc.
6. we have 42K in our accounts
7. looks like we might break even this year
Book Sale Debrief
1. $1600 in credit sales
2. no data on the cash sales right now
3. set up and breakdown is labor intensive
  1. seeking young volunteers: perhaps partnering with some clubs, school groups
  2. looking for ways to allow more time for takedown
4. 2020 sale dates
  1. January 23-26
  2. April 22-26
  3. July 23-26
  4. October 21-25
5. At our January meeting, we need to set 2021 book sale and other events
