Friends of the Orange County Public Library Minutes, March 11, 2021 - draft AGENDA 1. Call to Order 6:30 p.m. Present (via Zoom) Board Members: Shannon Turlington, Melissa Bourbon, Samantha Bryant, Gail Corrado, Grace Johnston, Diane Kelly, Wendy Scott; Library Staff: Nancy Crews 2. Fundraiser Update To date $975.00 has been raised through the vacation raffle. We will do another round of advertising on Facebook and Nextdoor. Nancy suggested also posting something in the library window. 3. “Oh, You Need to Talk To” The Friends will sponsor a monthly zoom program with local experts on themes of interest to the community. Suggested topics include fabric arts and quilting, gardening, genealogy, and local history. Gail has experts lined up for the first program to be held in mid-April. The Library will partner to provide tech support (Zoom or GoToMeeting). 4. Library Update Nancy reported that planning is underway for Summer Learning and will share a proposal for support from the Friends as plans are made. The next meeting will be on April 15, 2021 via Zoom.
