Friends of the Orange County Public Library Minutes, May 13, 2021 AGENDA 1. Call to Order 6:30 p.m. Present (via Zoom) Board Members: Shannon Turlington, Samantha Bryant, Gail Corrado, Grace Johnston, Diane Kelly, Wendy Scott; Library Staff: Nancy Crews 2. Budget report The account balance is $47,000. An audit should be done soon. Shannon will look at the regulations regarding whether or not a Board member may perform the audit. 3. Library Update Nancy reported that there is not yet a date for re-opening the library building. She will have more information in two weeks following a meeting with the County Manager. The Library’s FY22 budget calls for a reduction in hours from 68 to 54 hours per week plus a 5% across-the-board cut in funds. The Library is planning for transitioning staff back to on-site work. 4. OYNTT Programming The May 16 program is on Fabric Arts. Plans for Fall programs include: October – Historical perspective from the first black deputy in Orange County November – Stained glass art December – Social media for the holidays The next meeting of the Board is June 10 Meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
