Friends of the Orange County Public Library Minutes, June 10, 2021 AGENDA Call to Order 6:30 p.m. Present (via Zoom) Board Members: Shannon Turlington, Melissa Bourbon, Samantha Bryant, Gail Corrado, Grace Johnston, Diane Kelly, Wendy Scott; Library Staff: Nancy Crews FOCPL Business Shannon asked board members to email her suggestions for new Board members. Nominations are due by the November meeting; voting is in December. Approved: Reimbursement of $90 to Shannon Turlington for Wordpress website. Library Update Nancy reported that there was a good turnout for the re-opening of the building to the public. Staff were excited to see patrons back inside. Curbside service remains popular. Programming Oh, you need to talk to on July 18th on Writers about Writing will include a special teens only session from 1:30 – 2:00 before the main program. Future programs: Fall Planting (August); Farmers Market/Slow Food (September); Open History (October) Discussion The Board discussed options for a book sale while the space in the library is not available. The consensus was that we may need to wait and have a big sale when we can once again use the library. Meeting adjourned at 7:20 p.m. The next meeting is August 12, 6:30 p.m. (Zoom)
