AGENDA
Call to Order 6:30 p.m.

FOCPL Business
Lacking a quorum, any vote will be done by email.
COVID is still affecting FOCPL planning. However, in-library book sales have been picking up.
Library Update
Nancy reported that the County did not approve extending hours for the building being open. The current schedule (40 hours per week) remains in effect. In accordance with the County mandate, masks are required in the building.
Funding Request
The Library is asking FOCPL to support staff participation at NC Library Association meeting this year. NCLA is held every other year. Participation may be in person and/or virtual. Nancy explained that it is especially important for staff to network with employees from other libraries to see and share information on providing services in virtual environments.
FOCPL Board will review the request and vote by email. Shannon reported that our current funding balance (checking account and money market account combined) is $45,149.58.
The next meeting is scheduled for October 14, 2021 at 7:00 p.m.

Addendum: The Board approved by email the funding request from the Library in the amount of $12,935 to support technology training, attendance at professional conferences, and professional organization dues for library staff.
