Nancy gave us a short report on summer learning. She also told us that the library is in the process of working with their new director, Erin, to flesh out what they want to focus on. Erin might be able to attend our next meeting. We were introduced to our prospective Board Members and they bring energy and bunches of skills to the table. I will send out the “question” tomorrow morning and we can have them on board by Thursday morning if that is what we all want. The rest of the time was devoted to a discussion of the upcoming book sale. Other than making sure everything is covered, we talked about the extended hours on the Friday and the possibility of getting a food truck in the parking lot by the library … as an added attraction to entice Last Friday folks. Nancy has said staying until 8 is fine … and she is checking on the space for the food truck. Since Stacey can’t be at the closing, we will need to make sure that we are covered…
