Old Business:
Book sale
-training date: Tuesday, 17 January 11:00 (training session for new board members)
-Suggestions from meeting with Stacie:
-Vote on purchase of 4 tables (around $50 each, $220 total w/ tax), new signs (up to $200), dry-erase board to direct people to meeting room ($85 for sandwich board style, $75 for easel style)
- Found that library owns display stands we can use (print standard size paper)
- Suggest we buy another color, but similar kind to the library’s folding tables
- unanimous vote to approve purchase of tables and signs as described above
-soliciting donations
- now collecting again
- Put on Next Door, Facebook, etc.
-disposal of books after sale
- Monday pickup possible at 10:00
Book sale details:
- 9:30-5:30, 12-4 on Sunday.
- Starting at 3:00 on Sunday, nonprofits can come take free anything they want.
- Thursday 5:00-7:00 friends only access.
- Wednesday the 15th of March starts set-up: there will be a sign up genius–as soon as the library opens at 11:00
- Sell old teeshirts and bags for $1 each
New Business:
Appointment of audit committee
- Diane, Marc A., Diana agreed and will coordinate amongst themselves
new position: volunteer coordinator
- Wendy’s arm is twisted and will do it
- Shannon will share information already in place
Chamber of Commerce renewal $300
- our participation has netted us opportunities and donations in the past
- we maybe could be in the newsletter
- unanimously approved
Big donation $500 Coomer Murray, designated for the children’s department
- president will send a thank you
